Thanksgiving Frequently Asked Questions

How does pre-order work?


During the holiday period, we open a pre-order window so you can shop ahead and secure your items. Your selections are reserved, and your order is scheduled for delivery on your selected Thanksgiving window.

You may begin placing pre-orders starting 10/20/2025, and the last day to place a Thanksgiving order is 11/26/2025.


What delivery dates & locations are available?


We are offering Thanksgiving delivery slots between 11/24/2025 and 11/27/2025. You can book your holiday delivery window in that span.

We service the same areas as regular orders (SF, Bay Area, and LA zip codes). Enter your zip code on our website to see if we deliver to you.


 Can I edit or cancel my pre-order?


Yes. You can edit or cancel until the cutoff time the evening before your scheduled delivery. 

Bay Area: 11:00 pm

Southern California: 9:00 pm

After that deadline, your order becomes final and can’t be changed.


What are the fees associated with Thanksgiving delivery?


Delivery fees are identical across all windows for members and non-members. 

Members can enjoy free delivery, reduced fees, and some exclusive perks.


What size Turkey should I  buy?

 
We recommend roughly 1 lb of turkey per person, but you can slightly increase that amount to 1.25 lb per person if you’d like a bigger meal or leftovers. 


How will my turkey or main item arrive?

 
Your turkey or perishable main items will ship cold (around 32 °F) to maintain peak freshness. Upon arrival, it may take 3–4 hours to warm slightly-  handle carefully and use standard thawing guidelines.


How should I thaw the turkey?

 
To keep your turkey safe and delicious, use one of these USDA-approved thawing methods:

  • Refrigerator method: The safest (and slowest) option. Allow plenty of time — about 24 hours for every 4–5 pounds of turkey.

  • Cold-water method: Submerge the turkey in cold water, changing the water every 30 minutes to keep it at a safe temperature.

  •  Avoid thawing at room temperature, as it can cause uneven thawing and food safety risks.

What happens if my delivery slot is delayed due to weather or logistics?


While we do everything to stay on schedule, unexpected delays can arise. If a delay occurs, we’ll reach out via email or SMS with updated timing and, if needed, compensation or credit options depending on the situation.


Do you offer last-minute or emergency Thanksgiving delivery?


In select service zones, we may offer express or same-day add-ons on Thanksgiving Day for urgent needs. Availability is limited — if you think you may need this, please add those items as soon as possible on the day of.


What if I receive damaged or missing items?


If anything arrives damaged, missing, or spoiled, reach out within 24 hours of delivery. We’ll work with you to either re-deliver the item, give you store credit, or issue a refund - whichever works best. Support can be reached by email, chat, or phone (per your standard support channels).


What are your customer support hours during the holiday week?
